In this small group workshop you will be guided to weave your own piece of cloth on a vintage table loom, pre-warped with Palliser Ridge’s Romney lambswool.
At the end of class you will take home a finished muffler scarf or table runner, or a piece of fabric sufficient to sew into a zipper purse.
The day begins at 10.30am over a cuppa while we chat about how looms work to create a variety of weave structures and motifs commonly seen in woven cloth. You will learn useful weave techniques and practice some sample weave structures, then work to complete your own project.
What is provided:
Tuition on a pre-warped vintage 4 shaft table loom
Palliser Ridge lambswool yarn, including a selection of Kindly Dyer naturally dyed Palliser Ridge yarn to add small moments of colour to your work.
Tea, coffee and gluten free baking
What to bring:
A packed lunch
Your are welcome to bring your own natural dyed Palliser Ridge yarn if you have attended a Kindly Dyer natural dye workshop previously at Palliser Ridge.
